Lifeline Screening provides preventative health screenings to people to help them be aware of unrecognized health issues and then bring their results to their personal physician. Lifeline Screening uses advanced ultrasound equipment to perform the screenings. The screening are performed by highly skilled professionals and the results are read by board-certified physicians.
These screenings are very thorough and help the patients see exactly where they stand in major areas of their health. The results can show them if there is an immediate problem for health that needs to be addressed and others that can be taken care of before they result into a problem.
Lifeline Screening provides several different types of screening services. Vascular screening for stroke risk include Carotid Artery Screening and Atrial Fibrillation. We’ve all heard of “hardening of the arteries.” Well Lifeline offers a screening for that too. This screening is called Peripheral Arterial Disease. Two other screenings are Aortic Aneurysms and Osteoporosis risk. Along with the screenings, they provide many lab services as well. The lab tests include Cholesterol, Glucose, (which alerts for Diabetes risk), and for the C – reactive protein, which is a risk for cardiovascular disease.
A Comprehensive Risk Assessment called, “6 for Life” is a personalized report that tells the patient the risk of 6 major diseases which are: Stroke, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Lung Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, and Heart Failure. They also include biometrics which is blood pressure, waist size and body mass index and a heart attack risk score. The heart attack risk score informs the patient of a possible first time heart attack or the risk of one within the next ten years for more info: https://www.facebook.com/life.line.screening/ click here.
Once everything is completed the patient may leave with some of their lab results, but the rest will be mailed or emailed to them within 21 days. If something is found that day that requires urgent attention, they will make contact with patient immediately.
All these results from the screenings and texts can be discussed with the patient’s primary doctor and will give them a great overall idea of how the patient is doing and what actions should be taken if needed. There is also some additional information for patients on Lifeline Screening website, Facebook page and E-Newsletter.
