Jim Larkin Helped Shape the Union

Jim Larkin was a worker from Ireland. He worked hard, but he was not always treated fairly. This was a major problem for those who were in the same position as him and it made things difficult for people who were trying their best to make things better on their own.

Jim Larkin did what he could to make a difference because he knew he was going to try different things but he also did what he could to show others what they could get out of different situations. Since Jim Larkin had worked so hard on his own, he knew the union would be able to benefit from the things he was doing.

When Jim Larkin first joined the union, he had no idea he would be able to make the changes that he eventually did. In fact, he was at a lower level in the union when he first started trying to make things better for the people who he worked with. It was his way of giving back to the community. As things got better for Jim Larkin, he rose to the top of the union with the company he worked for. It was a way for him to keep improving things for everyone.

Since Jim Larkin saw things that weren’t being done the right way, he knew he had to make a change. He was going to improve the union, show people what they could get from different situations and give them all the motivation they needed to ensure things would get better for them.

Jim Larkin knew what he needed to do but also knew he would have to try different things on his own. It gave him the help he needed to show people what they could do in different situations.

Even when Jim Larkin was working on the union, he was still doing things like advocating for it. He even went to the United States to try and change the union options they had. He did things that were not exactly legal and was sent back to Ireland. After being pardoned, he knew he would have to try and make things right.

It was from there that he chose to try different things and make a difference for all the people who were working under the umbrella of the union in Ireland. He was the catalyst for change in the union environments around the world.

Civil, Human, and Migrant Rights Organizations

In the world today, one of the biggest issues is civil, human, and migrant rights. There are many organizations and people who are fighting to make it possible for everyone to get treated equally and get the same freedoms. These are a few of those organizations that have a mission to help those people.

Lacey & Larkin Frontera Fund
This organization came about after the co-founders of Phoenix New Times and Village Voice Media, Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin, were arrested. The arrest happened on October 18, 2007 by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Not only were Lacey and Larkin jailed, but they were pulled out of their homes in the middle of the night. This all happened because they brought to light the fact that there were documents that talked about the sheriff’s unethical tactics in office. Once they were released, they sued on the false arrest and made $3.75 million dollars. This was the startup money for the fund. This organization helps fund other ones that help immigrants who are being detained or deported that aren’t getting basic human rights. They are trying to make sure everyone gets treated well because immigrants are people too.

The American Civil Rights Institute
The American Civil Rights Institute is a national civil rights organization that was created in 1996 by Ward Connerly and Dusty Rhodes to help educate the public on the harms of racial and gender preferences. It is based in Sacramento, California and focuses on three main areas.

Those are: helping organizations in other states with their attempts to educate the public on racial and gender preferences, helping federal representatives with teaching the public about this issue, and watching and helping with legal action in California, Washington, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, and Arizona. This organization is trying to help change happen by challenging the race and gender preference mentality of people in today’s world.

Human Rights Watch

Human Rights Watch was established in 1978 and has about 400 staff members. The staff has many human rights professionals, including: country experts, lawyers, and journalists. This organization is known for finding the true facts, neutral reporting, practical use of the media, and targeted support.

Mike and Jim are also known for teaming up with many local human rights groups. Each year, they publish over 100 reports on human rights conditions in over 90 countries, as well as producing a lot of coverage in local and international media.

Since this has a lot of impact, the organization can meet with governments, the United Nations, regional groups, financial associations, and corporations to help bring about changes in policies and practices that will help improve human rights and justice around the world.

As you can see, these are just a few of the organizations that are fighting for these rights. They are making a big difference and trying to help as many people have the same rights as everyone else. Read more: Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund

They know that we are all human and that you shouldn’t be treated differently because you have a different skin color, nationality, or gender.
